April 27, 2006, 6 - 9 p.m. - MER will be co-hosting the opening evening event at AAM with EdCom on at the Isabella Steward Gardner Museum. This event will also include the presentations of EdCom’s Awards for Excellence.

The speaker will be Gail Anderson who will connect the Journal of Museum Education, spring issue topic, "Museums of Relevance," to her recent publication Reinventing the Museum: Historical and Contemporary Perspectives on the Paradigm Shift

May 19-20, 2006 – Wolfsonian-Florida International University Museum will host a two-day symposium to examine new definitions of literacy in relationship to arts integrated teaching and learning practices.
